About Greenbrook

Christian Laugesen
As a child I thought “Greenbrook” was a reference to some dead waters filled with green algae that my grandparents used to live close to. Later it occurred to me, how even the tiniest little brook can make its surroundings green and full of life, and then my name began to have a whole new meaning to me.
Through my experience in volunteer leadership and especially my role as youth pastor, administrator and accountant in “Copenhagen Freechurch” for more than five years, I have seen how people can have the right things on their hearts and in spite of that still feel paralysed because of certain leadership, communicative or administrative challenges.
In reaction to this, I founded Greenbrook in 2010 in hope of bringing what can feel just like the dead waters filled with algae, into something that gives life to others. Therefore I build resources and gather learning as a way of serving and encouraging the good initiatives – and especially the smaller brooks out there – be it small businesses, unions, charities or volunteer projects.

In other words I thrive in conceptual thinking, knowledge capture and creation of effective structures with the volunteer social work lying close to my heart.
